For homework tonight, I found a cool matching game online!  In this game, you need to match a word (which has a prefix or suffix) with its meaning.  No need to print it out!

There’s more!  In a comment for this post, write a sentence that uses either a prefix or suffix in one of your words.  Make sure that the sentence shows that you understand the meaning of the word.  For example…

“I reread the book.” <-Doesn’t show the meaning of REread.

“I reread the book because I enjoyed it the first time.” <-Shows that you read the book again.

      You need to think of a sentence that uses a word with a prefix and/or suffix. Make sure your sentence showcases the meaning of the word you use.

      21, can you add a revision that shows what careful means? Like “Why is she not more careful while she _______?”

    Friends, these are really, really good. I like how thoroughly you are creating sentences that SHOW that you can correctly use these prefixes and suffixes! Here’s a challenge! Who can reply to my comment with a sentence that has a word that has BOTH a prefix AND a suffix? Give it a try!!!

    i liked the game a lot !! It made it easier for me to understand what the deffiniton/meaning of the word is and now i know for me it is much easier for me to know witch word has a prefix, suffix ,and i know witch one is a root word!!!!!!!!!1
